FAQ
Frequently asked questions
General
Our approachDo you work throughout Belgium?
Mainly in Brussels, Flemish Brabant, Walloon Brabant and East Flanders. Further afield for larger projects.
Is the first meeting charged?
No. The first meeting is free. A detailed concept is agreed in advance at a fixed fee, deducted if you go ahead.
How far ahead should I plan?
To swim by summer, it is best to start talking the autumn or winter before.
Do you service installations you did not build?
Yes, after an initial inspection visit.
Pools
More on poolsHow long does a concrete pool take to build?
Allow 8 to 14 weeks on site, after design and any permit.
Do I need a permit?
It depends on the region, size and position. We check for your plot and handle the application if one is needed.
What does a pool cost per year?
It depends on size, heating and cover. The concept includes an estimate of running costs.
Natural pools
More on natural poolsIs the water really clear?
Yes, with a correctly sized system. A slight green tint in spring is normal and clears by itself.
Will there be insects or frogs?
Some wildlife arrives, as in any garden with water. Circulation and natural predators keep larvae in check.
How much space do I need?
A swimming pond usually needs twice the swimming area. With a biofilter, the pool plus a technical pit is often enough.
Wellness
More on wellnessCan I try a hot tub or sauna first?
Yes. Models are set up in the showroom and can be tried by appointment.
How much energy does an outdoor sauna use?
It depends on size and heater. We calculate energy per session in the concept.
Indoor or outdoor sauna?
Both work. Outdoors you cool off in the garden; indoors you use it in any weather.
Outdoor living
More on outdoor livingCan you design outdoor living without a pool?
Yes. Many projects start with a terrace or kitchen and add water later.
Which brands do you install?
Including OFYR, Big Green Egg and Heatsail. You can see them in the showroom.
Does a pergola need a permit?
It depends on region and size. We check for your plot.
